Two Clearfield Men Indicted on Fatal 2019 Bombing

SHARE NOW

CLEARFIELD – Two Clearfield men are facing charges for a fatal bombing in 2019 related to drug debt.

On Tuesday a federal grand jury indicted 47 year-old Clint Addleman and 47 year-old Kris Nevling for charges related to conspiracy to maliciously destroy property by explosive or fire and possession of an unregistered destructive device.

In addition Addleman is being charged with malicious destruction of property by explosive or fire resulting in death, and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Police say that Addleman was a methamphetamine dealer working in the Clearfield area.

In 2019 he allegedly gave several hundreds of dollars worth of the drug to the bombing victim, 34 year-old Shanna Carlson.

In the following months Addleman was threatening violence if he wasn’t repaid.

Then in October investigators say Addleman and Nevling made a bomb and sent it to Carlson’s apartment. The bomb then detonated, killing the 34 year-old and destroying the building.

Both face a life sentence and up to $1 million dollars in fines.
