CLEARFIELD COUNTY – Two municipalities in Clearfield County have issued burn bans due to the current weather conditions.
On Wednesday, Clearfield Borough issued a burn ban effective until conditions improve.
The Borough is reminding residents that smoke coming south from the Canadian wildfires may cause negative affects to those at risk of breathing issues, and to make sure to protect yourself, our first responders and our community by refraining to burn outside.
Also, on Wednesday, Sandy Township Fire Chief Jason Runyon declared a burn ban in the Township effective immediately.
The ban includes all open fires and will continue until further notice.
