RIDGWAY – Two children have died as a result of their injuries in a weekend fire in Elk County.
According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office two children, ages two and 12, both succumbed to their injuries after being taken to UPMC Children’s after a fire in Ridgway Saturday morning.
The two year-old died at the hospital at 10:15 pm. on Sunday, the 12 year-old passed just one day later.
First responders arrived at 318 North Broad Street in Ridgway just after 7am Saturday, and were able to fully clear the scene by 10:30 am.
Pennsylvania State Police in Ridgway are currently investigating.
