
Washington Township, PA – A truck driver from Connecticut was flown to the hospital with serious injuries after crashing his tractor-trailer on Interstate 80.
The 57-year-old man had been driving on I-80 around 7:49 Saturday night in Washington Township, Jefferson County.
He left the road for unknown reasons near mile marker 88.3, struck several small trees, and struck an embankment.
The driver was flown to UPMC Altoona with suspected serious injuries. He had been wearing his seat belt.
The hazmat team was also called to the crash due to a small fuel leak.
