Trick-or-treat, trunk-or-treat, parade, and Halloween events

Because Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, many Halloween-themed events like trick-or-treating will be held on the holiday itself.

 

Thursday, Oct. 29 – 

SANDY TOWNSHIP – Location change! Sandy Township invites you to Trunk or Treat at the DuBois Mall today from 4:30 to 6:30. A COVID-19 safety plan will be in place: directional guidance will be provided, hand washing stations will be available, and social distancing will be adhered to between Trunkers by creating 20 ft wide designated spaces. Wear your best costume and come have some fun!

 

Friday, Oct. 30 – 

PENFIELD CAMP MOUNTAIN RUN HAUNTED HOUSE – Ready for some bone-chilling, hair-raising, and blood-curdling FUN? Bring some friends to the Bucktail Council Haunt on the last weekends of October for a thrilling experience that you won’t forget! $10 donation per person for the haunted house, benefiting our local Scouts! For an additional $5, there is a breakout room. Haunted house open Friday and Saturdays, Oct. 30 and 31 from 7 until 10:30 p.m. Book online or pay cash at door at Camp Mountain Run, Penfield.

NEW STORY DUBOIS – New Story Schools DuBois is hosting a Halloween Trunk or Treat on Friday, Oct. 30 from 5 until 7 p.m. at their building on Jeffers Street. This event is FREE and open to the public! We encourage you to wear your spookiest (or silliest) costume! Interact with the New Story staff, who will be handing out candy and other free prizes!

 

Saturday, Oct. 31 – Halloween!

DUBOIS PARADE – Join Cooper Tire and Auto and DiLullo Transport this Halloween season for our Annual Sunny 106 Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 31st! Kids 12 and under and leashed pets are invited to march down West Long Avenue with us as they show off their costumes for the chance to win “Best Costume” in select age categories. Parade line up starts at 4pm in front of the Fort Worth Restaurant/Shankles Pharmacy on West Long Avenue with the parade to kick off at 5 p.m.!

And remember… All the little ghosts and goblins are invited to stay after the parade for a pre Trick-or-Treating meal at the First United Methodist Church on West Long Ave that will consist of a sandwich, bag of chips, granola bar and drink. These will be handed out on a first come first serve basis following the parade.

DuBois Trick-or-Treating will follow the parade from 6 until 8 p.m.

The Sunny 106 Halloween Parade is brought to you by Cooper Tire and Auto and DiLullo Transport with participation from TNT Auto Parts and Williams And Sons Sanitation.

 

BROCKWAY – Brockway will have their trick-or-treating on a different day than usual this year. Because Halloween falls on a Saturday, they will hold trick-or-treating on the holiday itself instead of their usual Sunday celebration. Brockway trick-or-treating is from 2 until 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.

 

REYNOLDSVILLE – Reynoldsville will have their annual Halloween parade on Saturday, Oct. 31 beginning at 3 p.m. at the ambulance garage. Trick-or-treating will follow after the parade until 6 p.m.

 

GRAMPIAN – Grampian Lions Club is hosting a drive-through trunk-or-treating event at the Grampian Community Park on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 1 until 3 p.m. Vendors will hand out bagged treats to kids in licensed vehicle. Children are to remain inside the vehicle while receiving treats.

 

PUNXSUTAWNEY – Punxsutawney will have its Halloween parade on Saturday, Oct. 31, starting at 6 p.m. around East Union Street and Barclay Square, ending at the Central Fire Department Fire Hall. Prizes will be given out after the parade. Trick-or-treating will run after the parade from 6:30 until 8 p.m.

 

BROOKVILLE – The Brookville Halloween Parade will start at the Brookville Fire Hall on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 5:30 p.m. Trick-or-treating will follow the parade from 6 until 8 p.m.

 

FALLS CREEK – Falls Creek Halloween Parade will start at Memorial Park on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 5:30 p.m. Trick-or-treating will follow the parade until 8 p.m.

 

COOK FOREST – Program at Cook Forest State Park – Saturday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. – ‘Cathedral by Candlelight’ Experience something different for Halloween! Take a walk back in time to meet a lumberman from the 1800’s on a candlelit tour through the Cook Homestead and Tom’s Run, with history and spooky stories. (2 hrs). Free to attend.

 

BIG RUN – Big Run will have trick-or-treating on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 6 until 8 p.m.

 

CORSICA – Corsica will have trick-or-treating on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 6 until 8 p.m.

 

SIGEL – Sigel will have trick-or-treating on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 5 until 9 p.m.

 

SAINT MARYS –  Saint Marys is having a drive-trough trunk-or-treating event at the Memorial Park from 4:30 until 6 p.m. Trunk-or-treating will also be available at the Agape Assembly of God parking lot at 4 p.m. Trick-or-treating in Saint Marys will run from 6 until 8 p.m.

 

JOHNSONBURG – Trick-or-treating in Johnsonburg is on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 5 until 7 p.m.

 

RIDGWAY – Ridgway Lions Club will hold their annual Halloween kids parade with lineup at the Elk County Courthouse at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31. Ridgway will hold trick-or-treating from 5 until 7 p.m. on Saturday night.
