Treasure Lake, PA – Congratulations to Treasure Lake on the groundbreaking of the veterans memorial!
Although the construction phase officially began yesterday with that groundbreaking ceremony, the project has been in the works for about two years.
With donations and memorial brick purchases, they’re close to the goal of $60,000 to build the memorial, which is located across the road from Lakeview Lodge in Treasure Lake.
The plan is to pour the concrete next month and let it cure over the fall and winter season.
The electricity will be installed during the fall.
During the spring, they’ll finish up the majority of the project, including the bricks, the monuments themselves, benches, and other final touches.
They’re expecting to have it ready to use by Memorial Day 2022.
