CLEARFIELD – The week is starting with local traffic alerts … One is due to four slow-moving windmill “superloads” scheduled to travel through on Clearfield County’s major roadways today. This could create possible traffic delays. According to PennDOT, the four “superloads” will travel the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 from Falls Creek Exit 97 to Clearfield Exit 120, then onto Routes 879, 322 and 153. The loads of windmill parts are being transported from the Port of Erie to a location near Tyrone.
Also, there may be some minor traffic delays on Interstate 80 near DuBois starting Tuesday. PennDOT says work crews will taking core boring samples in preparation for a bridge replacement projects. You may encounter the delays on I-80 from exit 97 to mile marker 99 and near both the eastbound and westbound bridges at exit 97.
