Clearfield, PA – A tractor-trailer crash closed down I-80 Westbound Tuesday morning, but it was reopened sooner than expected. The westbound lane of the interstate between DuBois/Brockway exit 97 and Hazen exit 81 had been closed for about 2 ½ hours, from just after 9 a.m. until just before noon on Tuesday.
According to the Jefferson County Fire Wire, one semi-truck had rolled over and fluid had spilled over the road around mile marker 91.
PennDOT thanks drivers for their patience during this closure and reminds motorists to use caution during winter weather and drive according to road and weather conditions.
To help make decisions regarding winter travel, motorists are encouraged to “Know Before You Go” by checking conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 950 traffic cameras.
