BROOKVILLE – Visit Jefferson County Pa, an organization dedicated at promoting tourism in the region, is looking to expand their reach promoting the rural area.
For Mary Milford, Director of Tourism in Jefferson County, the area has some great attractions like Groundhog Day and the plethora of outdoor activities. Her only struggle is getting people the information.
“We’re working on making sure people know what all we provide as a county, with outdoor recreation, the activities, but mostly the people here,“ explained Milford.
Locally, many see the county’s trails, state park access, and historical significance as a great asset for tourists.
Visit Jefferson County Pa is always looking for nonprofits to apply for grants to promote events and keep the region’s tourism momentum going.
