
Brady Township, PA – Three teens were injured, two of them seriously, in a crash in Brady Township recently.
State Police in DuBois say it happened just before 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13 near the intersection of Behringer Highway (Route 322) and Watson Highway in Brady Township, Clearfield County.
A 16-year-old Punxsutawney girl driving a Mitsubishi Eclipse was attempting to turn onto Watson Highway but failed to yield to a vehicle coming in the opposite direction, driven by 30-year-old Brian Eckert from DuBois.
Eckert could not avoid the crash and struck the side of the teen’s vehicle, which in turn pushed her vehicle into another car waiting at the stop sign, with 58-year-old Renee Smeal from Clearfield at the wheel.
Everyone involved had been wearing their seat belts.
The 16-year-old Punxsy girl suffered serious injuries. In addition to that, her front seat passenger, a 16-year-old girl from Clearfield, was also seriously injured. 18-year-old Jonathan Albright from Osceola Mills was also a passenger and suffered minor injuries.
Everyone in that vehicle was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois.
