Three people injured after vehicle strikes utility pole in Corsica

Corsica, PA – Three people from Corsica are recovering from their injuries after their vehicle struck a utility pole early Monday morning.

22-year-old Leonard Hughes from Corsica had been driving along Olean Road in Corsica around 12:20 a.m. Monday.

Police say he had been going too fast when his Chevy Tahoe left the road and struck a utility pole, shearing it off. The vehicle rolled onto its side.

Hughes and his passengers, 20-year-old Kayla Carpenter from Corsica and a 16-year-old boy also from Corsica, had minor injuries and were taken to Clarion Hospital.

They had all been wearing their seat belts.
