HomeCrimeThree men injured in DuBois stabbing, one flown with life-threatening injuriesThree men injured in DuBois stabbing, one flown with life-threatening injuriesThu, June 3, 2021 by wcednewsSHARE NOW DuBois, PA – Three men were injured in a reported stabbing in DuBois recently, one so severely that he had to be flown by medical helicopter to Pittsburgh for life-threatening injuries.The DuBois City Police Department says they are still investigating the incident, which happened Sunday around 5:30 p.m. on West Washington Avenue.Police are not naming anyone involved in the knife assault yet.Two men reportedly left a home on West Washington Avenue through a back door and fled the scene while officers were on their way.When officers arrived, a 28-year-old man answered the front door who had stab wounds to his chest and cuts on his hands.A woman was also at the home but had no injuries.The woman told police about the two men who had fled the scene, one who she knew and one of which was unknown to her. She said they had originally entered through the back door, confronted the woman and man in the home, and started the physical altercation between the three men.The woman told DuBois City Police that the two men then left through the same back door and fled towards Brown Alley.As police were gathering information at the scene, they were also alerted that a man had arrived at the Penn Highlands DuBois Emergency Room for a stab wound to his neck and multiple stab wounds to his abdomen.That unknown man was stabilized at Penn Highlands and then flown to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh with life-threatening injuries.Another 25-year-old man had a small laceration to his hand. He was cleared by medical staff, taken into custody, and placed in the Clearfield County Jail.The 28-year-old resident of the home required more extensive medical attention. He was released from Penn Highlands and questioned by police about the incident.No further information has been provided by police. The investigation is ongoing.
