Three injured, one seriously, in Elk County ATV crash

Horton Township, PA – An ATV crash in Elk County left three people with injuries, one of which is serious.

42-year-old Alan Buzard from Brockport had been operating the Honda Pioneer ATV on Saturday around 11:15 p.m. on Boggy Run Road in Horton Township.

Buzard lost control, went into a grassy area, went back onto the road, and then overturned the ATV onto its passenger side.

The farthest right passenger side occupant was 28-year-old Bailey Smith from Brockway. She sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands DuBois. She had not been wearing a seat belt.

Buzard, the driver, had been wearing a lap belt and had minor injuries.

The other passenger, 23-year-old Jordan Boyle from Brockway, had also been wearing a lap belt and had minor injuries.

Buzard will be charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
