SNYDER TWP. – A crash between a car and an Amish horse-and-buggy resulted in injuries to three people, including a one-year-old girl.

State Police say the accident was caused by the buggy’s driver failing to yield to a car at the intersection of Sugar Hill Road and Route 28 in Jefferson County.

The car hit the left side of the buggy, causing injury to the buggy’s driver, Enos Hershberger Jr; and to two passengers, Elsie Hershberger and a 1-year-old girl.

The young girl was reportedly transported to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Two other young children in the buggy were not hurt, and the driver of the car and two passengers were also unharmed in the mishap.
