COOPER TOWNSHIP – Three people were hospitalized after a weekend fire in Cooper Township.
According to the Winburne Fire Department, just after 4am crews were called to the 400 block of Birch Street for a home on fire.
First responders noted that the blaze was spilling out of the front windows and door, engulfing most of the first floor.
Crews were able to extract two adults and one child suffering from smoke inhalation.
One adult was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center, the other two were flown to Pittsburgh for treatment.
After investigating, it was determined the blaze was accidental, starting in the front living room area.
