Farmington Township, PA – In Clarion County over the weekend, State Police caught three people driving under the influence in a DUI checkpoint, plus several other citations and arrests.
State Police in Marienville set up the checkpoint on State Route 66 in Farmington Township between 11 p.m. Saturday night and 2 a.m. early Sunday morning.
A total of 66 vehicles came through the checkpoint and were stopped.
Out of those, there were three DUI arrests, four traffic citations for driving under suspension, 16 other traffic citations, two drug arrests, and 27 written warnings.
These DUI checkpoints are announced in advance for the month, but obviously no information is divulged about where or when exactly the stop will take place so that drivers cannot simply avoid the checkpoint.
