BROCKWAY – A 36-year-old Washington County man is facing charges in Brockway for causing more than $46,000 in damages to a car wash when he allegedly attempted to steal money.
State Police report that Brad Yasek of Ellsworth tried to remove money from two bill collector machines at the Mr. Quick Car Wash in Brockway. Surveillance camera footage allegedly shows Yasek causing the damages to the car wash bay with various tools, including a crowbar, a car jack, and another blunt object in an apparent attempt to steal money from the machines.
Yasek is charged with criminal mischief and receiving stolen property. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled in Jefferson County magisterial court on March 28th.
