UNDATED – Electric bills are climbing in Pennsylvania, we explore the possible reason as to why..

According to State Representative Mike Armanini, the driver of these price hikes are not power related, but towards charges like transmission fees and administration costs, on top of state energy mandates.

He claims that since 2011, these charges have jumped 25 percent, while costs to meet renewable energy rules have jumped 600 percent since 2018.

“We found out that generation costs in making electric has actually went down, adjusted for inflation, about 12 percent,” explained Representative Armanini.

Ultimately, Armanini is working towards ensuring transparency when you get your bill.
