Teen seriously injured after crashing into utility pole in Elk County

Fox Township, PA – A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured after crashing into a pole in Elk County.

It happened just before 7:30 a.m. last Wednesday along Old Kersey Road in Fox Township.

The 17-year-old boy from Saint Marys lost control of his Chevrolet Cruze on a curve, left the roadway, and struck a utility pole.

He was taken to Penn Highlands Elk for serious injuries. There’s no word on his current condition.

The unnamed teen was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. He had been wearing his seat belt.
