DUBOIS – Career and Technical Education Month was in the spotlight as the DuBois School Board listened to the achievements of Jeff Tech students.
Currently around 220 DuBois students are enrolled at Jeff Tech participating in a variety of programs from Auto Body, Diesel Mechanics, Welding, Electrical, HVAC, Manufacturing, Engineering, Cosmetology, and Health Assistance. Students shared how their hands-on training is helping them prepare for future careers.
Board members noted how these programs can grant certifications at no cost to the student and plays an important role in career readiness while also encouraging students to remain in the local workforce.
