UNDATED – A teleconference last month weighed in on trial dates and possible conflicts of interest in the Federal trial against former DuBois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio and former City Employee Roberta “Bobbie” Shaffer.
The phone conference was held on October 22nd at 1pm and lasted approximately 30 minutes, during which possible trial dates in the spring or early summer were discussed.
Two possible conflicts of interest were also discussed, surrounding Attorney William Shaw. Prosecutors claimed that Shaw may be used as a witness as he was in attendance in recorded closed door meetings.
They also brought forward his former role as Clearfield County District Attorney could raise conflicts of interest.
No action was taken during this meeting.
