DUBOIS — A federal judge has once again granted the attorneys representing former DuBois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio, and former city employee, Bobbie Shaffer, another month to file pretrial motions. According to U.S. Court documents, the judge has delayed the filing deadline from tomorrow, May 3rd, to Monday, June 3rd.
A variety of charges have been filed against Suplizio and Shaffer, related to the alleged theft of more than half-a-million dollars from the City of DuBois. Under federal sentencing guidelines, Suplizio and Shaffer could face up to 45 years in prison and as much as $1.2 million in fines if they are found guilty.
