Suplizio fired, Cherry resignation accepted as new DuBois mayor and city council members take office

DUBOIS –The newly-elected City of DuBois mayor and council members were sworn in Tuesday morning. Mayor Pat Reasinger, and council members Jennifer Jackson and Elliot Gelfand took their oaths of office, and immediately went to work

First, a motion was made to fire suspended City Manager Herm Suplizio.

Then, the resignation of City Solicitor Toni Cherry was accepted by council members by a 3 to 2 vote.

DuBois City Council meetings in 2024 will be held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 6 pm.
