Sunny 106 Halloween Parade and community trick-or-treating is today

DUBOIS – Today is Halloween, and many Tri-County communities will have their official Trick-or-Treat hours from 6pm until 8pm this evening … including the City of DuBois, Sandy Township, Falls Creek, Brookville and Punxsutawney.

Before that happens, it’s the Sunny 106 Halloween Parade on West Long Avenue in downtown DuBois. Lineup for the parade starts at 4:30 this afternoon in front of Shankel’s Pharmacy and the Fort Worth Restaurant. The parade will begin at 5pm. Kids aged 12 and under as well as leashed pets are invited to join in the fun and show off your Halloween costumes. Awards will be given for the best costumes in select age categories.

There is also going to be a pre-trick-or-treat meal served at First United Methodist Church following the parade.
