CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield woman is behind bars after allegedly assaulting her school aged nephew last week.
On Thursday November 7th police responded to Soaring Heights for a reported alleged assault.
Police learned the student’s visible injuries stemmed from a physical altercation between them and their aunt while babysitting.
The student’s mother took them to the Clearfield County Child Advocacy Center for examination.
Police found the aunt, later identified as 26 year-old Courtney Michaels and placed her under arrest.
She is currently in the Clearfield County Jail facing multiple charges.
