State Police release traffic reports from Memorial Day weekend

UNDATED – With an increase of drivers on the road during the holiday weekend, Pennsylvania State Police have released their traffic reports from Memorial Day.

According to State Police, they investigated 651 vehicle crashes that resulted in 4 fatalities and 142 injuries over the four-day weekend.

Alcohol was reportedly a factor in 59 of the non-fatal incidents.

State Police also report that troopers made 547 DUI arrests and issued over 31,000 citations, including those for not wearing seatbelts or properly securing children in safety seats.
