State Corrections Employee Accused of Meeting Minor

PUNXSUTAWNEY – A Pennsylvania Corrections employee is behind bars after allegedly traveling to Punxsutawney to meet who he thought was a 14 year-old girl for sex.

According to police, 36 year-old Robert Burkholder, an employee at SCI Camp Hill, was in contact with the group 814 Pred Hunters disguised as a 14 year-old girl.

Messages turned over to police allegedly showed that Burkholder had sent several sexual messages to the known minor, claiming he wanted to engage in sexual activities and impregnate her.

They made plans to meet at a playground in Punxsutawney on October 15th where he was met by police and taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he faces sexual assault, indecent assault, and corruption of minors charges.
