UNDATED – A new piece of legislation floating in the House of Representatives, if passed, would help low income families with medical debt.

Sponsored by Representatives Arvind Venkat, Nathan Davidson, Tarik Khan, Bridget M. Kosierowski, Andrew Kuzma, Jim Rigby, and Rep. Tim Twardzik, the bill would create a Pennsylvania Medical Debt Relief Program tackling expenses of low income residents.

In addition, the bill would improve health care providers’ and facilities’ finances.
