ST MARYS – A St Marys woman is behind bars after allegedly assaulting two others.
On November 2nd police responded to an apartment for an alleged assault. Once on scene police learned that 31 year-old Kristen Cherry allegedly pounded on the door of the apartment and assaulted a woman who answered the door, allegedly hitting, pulling out hair, and strangling the victim.
Police say a second victim was also assaulted when trying to intervene. Cherry also allegedly had a knife during the altercation.
When questioned, Cherry allegedly admitted to the altercation, however she denied unlawfully entering the home.
She is now at the Elk County Jail where she faces burglary, trespass, strangulation, simple assault, and harassment charges.
