ST MARYS – The Community Pool in St. Marys is well past its prime, while that is not stopping the swimming pool from reopening this year, those with the city’s Parks and Recreation are looking at what can be done for the pool’s future.

Currently the pool is in rough shape, being over 60 years-old, the pool has sprung many leaks over the years and needed to be repaired on multiple occasions on top of other maintenance problems.

Officials are now looking at the possibility of renovating the entire area adding something that appeals to today’s community

Many new additions proposed included handicap accessibility, a zero-depth beach entry, a children’s area, water slides, and splash park.

You can submit your feedback by taking the Parks and Recreation’s online survey until January 30th
