ST. MARYS — Elk County students far-exceeded their goal of raising at least $10,000 in the fight against pediatric cancer.

At St. Marys Middle School’s third annual “mini-thon” this week, more than $18,000 was raised for the Four Diamonds Foundation.

Just like Penn State’s annual Thon event, the goal of “mini-thon” in St. Marys is to see the kids come together to raise money for a worthy cause.

Students and faculty had a chance to dance, play music bingo, karaoke, and listen to guest speakers who have been directly impacted by pediatric cancer.
