ST MARYS – A St. Marys man is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a home and assaulting a woman.
On August 22nd police responded to a Chestnut Street home after receiving calls about a woman screaming.
After investigating, police learned that 31 year-old John Krise had broken into the victim’s home while she was away, when she returned she asked him to leave before going to grab pepper spray.
Krise then allegedly got into a physical conflict with the victim before she could grab a knife from the kitchen and slashed him on his shoulder. He then left the residence before police arrived.
He was later found and taken to the Elk County Jail where he faces felony burglary, criminal trespassing, and assault charges.
