ST MARYS – A St Marys man is at the Elk County Jail after allegedly attempting to assault a police officer.
On December 14th, police say 37 year-old Shawn McCoy went to the police station to speak with a sergeant he had been in contact with.
When told the officer was off duty, McCoy allegedly became agitated arguing with officers at which point he tried to punch the officers before being taken into custody.
Now he is at the Elk County Jail facing felony level aggravated assault charges.
