ST MARYS – A St Marys man is in the Elk County Jail after allegedly breaking into an apartment and assaulting a person.
On April 1st, police responded to a North Street apartment building for reports of a disturbance.
Once on scene, police learned from the victim that 38 year-old Ian Williams allegedly walked into the apartment. When asked to leave, Williams allegedly began punching and kicking the victim while looking for drugs.
Williams allegedly stole a cell phone and tablet before leaving.
Police then later spoke to Williams who allegedly had the tablet in his possession.
He was then taken to the Elk County Jail where he faces burglary and simple assault charges.
