ST MARYS – A St Marys couple has been jailed after allegedly physically assaulting a 10 year-old boy.
On January 28th, police alongside Elk County Children and Youth Services investigated a Theresia Street residence after receiving reports that a child was abused.
After investigating authorities learned that 31 year-old Justin Crawford and 28 year-old Monica McKinney had beaten the small child leading to bruising on the boy’s face, forehead, shoulders, arms, and back.
When questioned, the couple allegedly admitted to the abuse and neglected to seek medical help.
The pair are now housed at the Elk County Jail where they face felony child endangerment and assault charges.
