Ridgway, PA – A Smokey Bear cutout sign was stolen in Elk County.
The Smokey Bear silhouette had been attached to a fire danger sign in Ridgway Township, along Route 219 near Rocky Top Road in Game Lands 44.
Police say it was reported as missing yesterday around 11:30 a.m.
The sign is worth about $50, and a 59-year-old woman from Austin, PA is listed as the victim.
