Six people killed in vehicle crashes Labor Day Weekend

Harrisburg – Six people were killed as the result of vehicle crashes in Pennsylvania during the recent four-day Labor Day travel period.

The Pennsylvania State Police investigated a total of 648 crashes which resulted in six deaths and 180 injuries September 2nd through the 5th.

State Police reported that alcohol was a factor in four of the fatal crashes.

Troopers also made 515 driving under the influence arrests and issued nearly 23,000 traffic citations over the long holiday weekend.
