Sigel man pleads guilty to choking woman

Sigel, PA – A Sigel man accused of choking and threatening to kill a woman has pleaded guilty. 29-year old Damon Hamman has plead guilty to aggravated assault, strangulation, terroristic threats, and harassment stemming from a case dating back to May.

 

According to the report, Hamman stopped by a known woman’s residence in the early morning hours and asked to come inside. Once inside the pair’s conversation turned into an argument and altercation. The victim asked Hamman to leave, but he refused. The argument then escalated into Hamman allegedly grabbing her by the throat and choking her to the ground and saying he’d kill both her and her children.

 

The victim was able to escape the residence and call police.

 

Hamman is currently free on $50,000 bail awaiting his sentencing.
