RIDGWAY – A second person is now suspected of trying to sneak drugs into the Elk County Prison and is facing felony charges.
Police have accused 22-year-old Braiden Zappia of Ridgway of being the person who directed the drug smuggling attempt using an eyeglasses case.
Earlier this month, 24-year-old Josie Griffith of Ridgway admitted to her role in trying to sneak drugs into the prison.
Zappia is currently being held in the Elk County Prison as he awaits a September 6th preliminary hearing.
