CLEARFIELD —The search has begun for a new district magistrate to preside over Zachery Dodson’s preliminary hearing.

On Friday, a Cambria County judge granted a motion which requested that a different magistrate be given the authority to conduct Dodson’s preliminary hearing.

Four district judges in Clearfield County have recused themselves from the case.

More than two weeks ago, DuBois City Police refiled aggravated assault and terroristic threats charges against 27-year-old Dodson who is accused of shooting a man at Invictus in DuBois in February.

Dodson, a former police officer in  Curwensville and deputy with the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office, has been free on bail since March 27th.
