Brookville, PA – After Jack Matson resigned as Jefferson County Commissioner when he moved for another job, Punxsutawney resident Scott North has been selected to fill the vacancy.
He has a degree in public administration with a concentration in government and a minor in economics.
He just recently retired as the director of human resources for Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor, where he had been for six years.
North is also a member of the Clearfield-Jefferson Counties Regional Airport Authority Board, the American Legion and VFW, an auditor for Young Township where he lives, and the president of the Punxsutawney Area Historical and Genealogical Society.
North says his main focus as a new Jefferson County Commissioner is doing right by the taxpayer and actively listening to the concerns of the community.
