HOUTZDALE — A food service instructor at SCI Houtzdale has been accused of smuggling drugs into the prison.

Police say 41-year-old Neil Rudy allegedly provided the contraband to multiple inmates who would then sell it to other inmates.

Rudy was arrested in September when he met with an undercover law enforcement officer to collect money in exchange for drugs.

Some original felony charges against Rudy have been dropped, but he still faces one felony count.

His arraignment is scheduled for January 4.
