UNDATED – Scam letters have been circulating in our area that claim you have unclaimed property.
The letters, claiming to be sent by the U.S. Treasury Department will state that you have unclaimed property. The scammer will say the funds will be released on a gift card.
Experts say this is especially concerning as the Pennsylvania Treasury Department has released their Money Match Program.
You are always urged to take caution and be vigilant of scams.
