Sandy Township, PA – Sandy Township has approved a new emergency response system program, meant to connect EMS and fire departments so they can all be in the loop about what emergencies are happening and who all will be helping at the scene.

It’s called the IamResponding program, which uses text and emails to alert crews and collect info about how many people are on their way to the emergency.

The Sandy Township Supervisors approved the purchase of the IamResponding program for the next five-year period. Fire departments in Sandy Township are looking forward to updating the system and making it more modern.

Although the system is not yet operational, it is planned to start being used within the next couple of months.
