SANDY TWP. – After receiving many questions, the Sandy Township Supervisors have further explained their position behind the petition that has been filed to pause the consolidation with the City of DuBois.
At the Sandy Township Supervisors meeting Monday night, Supervisors, Kevin Salandra and Mark Sullivan, as well as Chairman, Bill Beers, said they have received many questions about the stay in the consolidation.
Salandra explained the transparency the Supervisors are seeking regarding the City’s funds:
In other business, the Supervisors also unanimously voted to advertise for a new Township Engineer.
After the retirement of their previous Engineer in January, Manager Shawn Arbaugh said the Supervisors were utilizing Chris Nasuti to help with engineering projects.
However, Arbaugh explained that since Nasuti stepped into the position of Interim Manager for the City of DuBois, his time for extra projects has been scarce, leaving Sandy Township in need of a new Township Engineer.
