SANDY TWP. – DuBois-Sandy Township consolidation is becoming more real.
The Board of Sandy Township Supervisors voted last night to approve the intergovernmental cooperation agreement with the City of DuBois. The agreement allows the cross-hiring of Shawn Arbaugh as both the Township and City Manager, and Chris Nasuti as both the City and Township Engineer.
Also, water and sewer bills for township residents are starting to be generated, mailed from, and paid to the City of DuBois. The transition, part of the consolidation process, is expected to be complete by May.
