DuBois, PA –
Sandy Township Municipal Authority are hoping to fund the Brady Street Water Valve Replacement Project through the slightly over a million dollars they received from the American Recovery Act.
Currently, there is water loss, and they are concerned that if they have to replace the valve during an emergency that it can be expensive and put citizens without water.
They only received one bid for the project from Dave Roman Excavating for $263,020, which is 42% higher than they expected.
However, this is going to be a lot of traffic control and PennDOT restoration and inspections.
Dave Roman is willing to sit down with them to see if there is any way to reduce costs.
