DUBOIS – Sandy Township has filed the complaint to halt the consolidation process with the City of DuBois until after the City’s forensic audit is completed.

Yesterday, the Township filed the complaint that states the city’s financial uncertainties not only make it impractical for the Consolidation Agreement deadlines to be met, but it is also making it impossible to complete a successful consolidation.

The Township also says they will suffer substantial harm and financial losses if they consolidate at this time.

By filing the complaint, Sandy Township is asking the court system to issue an order and declare the consolidation process be stopped until after the results of the 9 to 12 month forensic audit of the City of DuBois.
