Sand dumped in log skidder’s oil port in Elk County

Spring Creek Township, PA – A log skidder in Elk County was vandalized recently.

Police were called to investigate on Saturday when it was discovered that sand had been dumped into the oil fill port in the engine.

The owner of the piece of equipment, a 35-year-old man from Shippenville, said his log skidder had been parked at a logging site off of Empire Ridge Road in Spring Creek Township, Elk County.

It’s being investigated as an act of criminal mischief causing more than $1,000 of damage.
