Rollover crash on I-80 near Clarion injures two people


Clarion, PA – Two people were injured in a rollover crash in Clarion.

49-year-old Arthur Pearsall from Kersey had been driving his Chevy Silverado on I-80 westbound near mile marker 71 Thursday morning around 6:45.

He lost control, struck the median on the left ride of the roadway, then went back over both lanes of traffic and exited the right side of the road, rolling over.

Pearsall was taken to Clarion Hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

Three of the passengers, a 57-year-old Brockway man and a 19-year-old Brockway man who are both listed on the report as being named Eli Hostetler, and 33-year-old Samuel Hostetler from Brookville were not injured.

A fourth passenger, listed with no name or age as just a male from Brookville, was taken to Clarion Hospital with serious injuries.

They had all been wearing their seat belts.

Pearsall faces charges for careless driving.
